Some Good News w/ John Krasinski

The 24th Annual Webby Awards is delighted to honor John Krasinski with a 2020 Webby Special Achievement Award to recognize his creation of "Some Good News with John Krasinski," to uplift people and make them laugh amid the COVID-19 crisis.

As we collectively navigate the severe impact of COVID-19, the Internet has become the most powerful tool for us to support and uplift one another, and connect with people around the world. Since launching the first episode of "Some Good News," Krasinski has injected the lives of over 12 million viewers with pure joy and laughter. Whether he's shouting out companies delivering medical supplies, including a weather report from Robert De Niro, or notably Zoom-bombing a young girl with a rendition of "Alexander Hamilton," featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda and the entire Hamilton cast, SGN brings respite from the doom to masses of Internet fans.

For his incredible positivity, and use of digital platforms to help people at home let loose and embrace a bit of good news and magic, it is our privilege to honor John Krasinski with a 2020 Webby Special Achievement Award.
