The 24th Annual Webby Awards is delighted to honor Kristen Bell with a 2020 Special Achievement Award to recognize her massive contributions to COVID-19 relief efforts, and hosting the #KidsTogether: The Nickelodeon Town Hall, to help kids understand the ongoing pandemic.

As we collectively navigate the severe impact of COVID-19, the Internet has become the most powerful tool for us to support, educate and connect with people around the world Millions of children around the world have been gravely affected by the pandemic, through forced global school closures, leaving children in isolation and away from their friends and learning environments while grappling with loss. By hosting the #KidsTogether: The Nickelodeon Town Hall, Bell provided children a direct outlet to voice their questions and concerns surrounding the pandemic, while providing them with a positive activity to engage with through performances by celebrities and TikTok stars. What's more, by hosting a virtual game night to support the Omaze COVID-19 relief efforts, Bell is using her platform to help people smile while supporting others in need.

For her incredible positivity, and use of her digital platform to help children understand and process the COVID-19 pandemic, it is our privilege to honor Kristen Bell with a 2020 Special Achievement Award.
