Special Achievement honors those whose work has improved upon the experience and capabilities of the Internet in novel and impactful ways.
The 22nd Annual Webby Awards is excited to honor FKA twigs with a Webby Special Achievement Award for her incredible contributions to digital culture and for constantly using the Internet to create and distribute experimental new art.
From launching an Instagram magazine to the surprise release of her EP “M3LL155X” and its accompanying online short film, to her stunning website showcasing work in an engaging, interactive, beautiful manner, FKA twigs regularly demonstrates her belief in the Internet as the ultimate creative platform. Indeed, her impact on music and Internet culture is undeniably intertwined, and proof of both her unwavering appreciation for fans, and her status as one of the most digitally savvy artists in the world.
